Snacktime Good Night Snacktime live LP

The band known as Snacktime consisted of David Reed, Tina Finch, and Perry Finch. Like the life of a match, Snacktime seemed to begin and end within the same breath. Reed and his wife had given birth to their first child while Finch and Finch had done the same. 

There were only a few months of rehearsals before they played their one-and-only show and then disbanded. As they were introduced by the legendary rock icon, Paul Johnson, at their singular club performance at the Mutiny on Western Ave., Snacktime were “one of Chicago’s up and coming children’s punk rock bands.”

Fortunately, for posterity’s sake, this show, with all of its glory and hiccups, lives on due to a bootleg recording that has surfaced. Decades after the what-the-hell-just-happened moment that occurred on the Mutiny stage, OFFWhite Records has sole rights to this recording and will be releasing it after its years of stagnation or hibernation–you decide.

The format of the live album release, Good Night Snacktime, release is yet to be determined. There is an OFFWhite board meeting scheduled soon to discuss this format. Stay tuned for information regarding Snacktime’s release and other new releases on OFFWhite Records.
